Recently, the first Hubei Sport Science Society 2023 Academic Conference and the first Hubei Sport Science Conference were held in Huanggang Normal University, Hubei Province. With the theme of Science and Education Empowering a Strong Province in Sports, and Sports Creating a Better Life, the conference was guided by China Sport Science Society, organized by Hubei Sport Science Society and undertaken by Huanggang Normal University. It was comprised of five parts: keynote speeches, session reports, poster exchanges, written exchange and the council meeting of the society.

Mr.Qi Changzhu, President of Huanggang Normal University said in the opening speech that organizing the first Hubei Sport Science Conference is a solid practice to accelerate the construction of a strong country in sports, creating an important platform for sports scientists to engage in academic exchanges, scientific and technological cooperation, and results display.
Mr. Xu Chi, Secretary General of Hubei Sport Science Society, read out the congratulatory letter from China Sport Science Society. Professor Huang Hansheng of Fujian Normal University, Mr. Ji Liu, Dean of the Physical Education and Health College of East China Normal University, Vice President Hong Ping of Beijing Sport University, Yin Huihong, a superbly experienced teacher of Hubei Province, and Li Danyang, Vice Dean of Competitive Sports School of Wuhan Sports University made keynote speeches respectively. During the conference, the experts, scholars and authors of the papers had in-depth exchanges on the future development of various fields of the sports industry.
There were 18 sessions in the conference. A total of 1859 papers were received from the contributors, among which 1342 were selected.
At the closing ceremony of the conference, the organizers presented awards to the outstanding papers of the Hubei Sport Science Society 2023 Academic Conference and the first Hubei Sport Science Conference.
